The Swansea Energy & Transport Hub and Port Development offers a major investment opportunity at the heart of a rapidly expanding green economy cluster. Centred around the SA1/Prince of Wales Dock and Fabian Way corridor, the project brings together large-scale renewable energy generation, hydrogen and battery technologies, and low-carbon transport infrastructure to create a fully integrated clean-energy ecosystem.
The hub aims to be one of the UK’s largest multi-modal decarbonised transport centres, combining EV and hydrogen refuelling, public-transport services, active-travel facilities and supporting amenities.
Alongside this, the port-side location enables significant industrial and commercial growth, including advanced manufacturing, tidal lagoon & energy innovation, and logistics linked to Swansea’s established maritime assets. With land agreements progressing and strong public-private leadership Swansea Council and development partners including Swansea University, the project represents an early-stage opportunity to anchor long-term value in energy generation, transport services, supply-chain expansion, and regeneration-led economic growth aligned with national net-zero priorities.
