Bringing together public and private sector leaders from across the UK and beyond, UKREiiF is one of the country’s leading events for driving investment, regeneration and infrastructure development.

Located in Welsh Governments Cymru Wales Pavilion, SWWCJC will be attending alongside the other three Welsh regions, Ambition North Wales, Cardiff Capital Region and Growing Mid Wales. This is the first time all four regions will be together at UKREiIF, showcasing the opportunities the whole of Wales has to offer.

The SWWCJC will use UKREiiF as a platform to highlight South West Wales as a prime destination for sustainable growth, innovation and long-term investment – a region with strong foundations and a strong future. From critical infrastructure and transport, major regeneration schemes and a fast growing innovation ecosystem, there’s a diverse pipeline of high value, resilient projects with scale, momentum and lasting value.

High profile speakers representing the SWWCJC will take part in panel discussions through the event, including:

  • Tuesday 19th May at 11:30 - ‘Place Based Impact Development Brough to Life’, with Suzy Jones, Director of Future at Urban Splash as a panellist.
  • Tuesday 19th May at 14:30 – ‘Unlock Wales’s Competitive Edge: Investment Zones and Freeports’ with Mark John, Chair of the SWWCJC Private Sector Advisory Board as a facilitator.
  • Wednesday 20th May at 10:30 – ‘Green Growth at Scale: Turning Wales’s Energy Transition into an Investible Economic Opportunity’ with Daniel John, Head of Environmental Infrastructure as a facilitator.
  • Wednesday 20th May at 12:30 – ‘Transport as a Driver of Regional Growth’ with Mark Wade, Director of Place as a panellist.

The SWWCJC will also be hosting an afternoon reception, sponsored by Schroders, on Tuesday 19th May at 16:30 to launch the Regional Investment Prospectus. This promotes the strong, investor-ready pipeline of opportunities available in South West Wales, aligned to priority sectors including energy and net zero, life sciences and wellbeing, manufacturing/technology/materials, and the experience economy. The event will be a unique opportunity to explore the wealth of exciting investment propositions emerging across the region, whilst sampling some of its finest produce from Gower Brewery, Brains Brewery and Au Vodka.
